Game report:
Opponent: Newmarket
Win/lose: WIN
What was the best part of your play in the win/loss?
We had all phases of our game going.
What did your team struggle with in the win/loss?:
We came out a bit flat and needed to turn the jets on. We had two touchdowns called back on penalties.
What do you need to improve:?
We have to understand that anything that happens well behind the play, even if it's a legal block, will get called for a penalty.
Who were your key players?:
Our running backs played well.
Who were your surprise players?:
Kadeem Stephenson stepped up his game. It was good to see him get a touchdown.
What was the main reason you won/lost?:
We knew they didn't have much depth. We were able to wear them down by forcing some 3 and outs and sustaining drives on offense.
Feel of the team after the game?:
Felt great to be division champs.
Main message after the game?:
We expected to be here but now the real season begins. There is no margin of error anymore.

York-Simcoe @ Metro Toronto
Metro should take care of business this week against the Storm-Raiders. A victory will give them a 6-2 record and a first round bye. York-Simcoe will hang around with Coates making some big plays but it will not be enough. The Wildcats win and advance to the quarterfinals for the first time since the league adopted the current playoff format in 2005.
