PLAYER RULES & RESPONSIBILTIES 

 

When you take to the field YOU represent Your Team, Your Coach, Your Club, Your Parents, and yourself. 

Be Prepared. Be Responsible. Be Cooperative.  Be Respectful.  Play with PRIDE.

 

ASSOCIATION RULES

 

  1. Misrepresentation of identification forms (birth certificate/drivers licence/passport etc.)  will NOT be tolerated and is grounds for suspension from the league for life.

  2. Excessive foul or obscene language will NOT be tolerated. On or Off the field.

  3. Fighting or instigating a disturbance will be awarded a game suspension and /or further suspension from the league.

  4. Un-cooperative attitudes, behaviour, unwillingness to follow instructions or constant abrasiveness will result in suspension or dismissal.

  5. Use of illegal drugs or alcohol is grounds for expulsion.

 

PRACTICE RULES

 

1.       Attend every practice in order to be prepared for the games. If you cannot attend practices, notify both your Team Manager and Head Coach.

  1. Players should arrive for practice early and check their equipment thoroughly before practice starts. Notify your Coach/Manager if your equipment needs repair or adjustment BEFORE you enter the field

  2. Players who, for legitimate reason, cannot always be on time should notify BOTH the Coach & Manager.

  3. Leave expensive personal belongings at home or leave in a safe location on the field.

 

EQUIPMENT RULES:

 

YOUR equipment is YOUR responsibility. Air it out after each practice or game. On Game Day, a player in a dirty uniform will not be allowed to represent North York in game situations.

 

 DO NOT SIT ON YOUR HELMET

DO NOT CUT ANY PART OF YOUR JERSEY

DO NOT USE ANY OTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT UNLESS APPROVED BY EQUIPMENT MANAGER

DO NOT PAINT OR PUT DECALS OTHER THAN WHAT IS SUPPLIED ON ANY PART OF YOUR HELMET   

 DO NOT THROW YOUR HELMET (League Rules Grounds for Suspension)

 DO NOT REMOVE YOUR HELMET ON THE PLAYING FIELD DURING A GAME

 DO NOT LEAVE YOUR EQUIPMENT UNGUARDED

 DO NOT USE BLEACH ON YOUR JERSEY OR PANTS

 DO NOT USE YOUR EQUIPMENT ANYWHERE ELSE

 DO NOT LOAN OUT YOUR EQUIPMENT

 DO NOT PRACTICE OR PLAY WITHOUT A MOUTHGUARD

 DO NOT LOSE ANY OF YOUR EQUIPMENT OR YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE DOLLAR VALUE

 

AT THE END OF THE SEASON ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED CLEAN AND IN GOOD CONDITION AND ON THE DATE/DAY ANNOUNCED.  THE $100. DEPOSIT. WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF THE EQUIPMENT IS NOT RETURNED TO THE CLUB AT THE DESIGNATED TIME AS SET OUT BY THE CLUB. REPLACEMENT FOR ANY ITEM MISSING WILL BE YOUR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. 

 

DISMISSAL POLICY

In the event that a player is released from the team, by the Association a refund is provided  less $150.00 - upon the return of all equipment in good condition.  Costs for replacement of any missing items will be deducted.
