John
Prisco
John's football roots began
at Toronto's Northern Secondary in the mid 80's where he earned
the reputation as a tenacious defensive back as a member of
several Red Knights TSSAA Championship and Metro Bowl Runs. He
also was nominated to three Toronto All-Star Teams in 1987, 1988
and 1989. After a stint in the CIAU, John went to Europe to play
semi-pro ball in the German League. Upon his return to Toronto,
John returned to his alma mater Northern and became the defensive
back's coach and then Defensive Coordinator in the late 90's,
taking over for Tom Gretes now York Head Coach. Coach Prisco
earned another reputation as a highly competent defensive mind at a
young age and as such was the first coach contacted by then
Wildcat Head Coach/Founder Chuck Richardson in 1999. He is a
staunch supporter of the Wildcat Program and understands the value
of recruiting at this level and is involved in soliciting
sponsorship. His well rounded motivation and participation is
perfectly suited to the Wildcat Program and we look forward to
John's leadership in the future.

Steve
Medcalf
Coach
Medcalf’s football career began in 1990 while attending Grimsby
Secondary in the Niagara region.
As a Quarterback and Punter Steve was nominated to three
Niagara District All-Star teams in 1991, 1992 and 1993.
During the summer of 1992 Steve attended a blue-chip
combine at Arizona State University, out of which came a partial
scholarship offer, that after several workouts and much
consideration Steve declined to return for his OAC year.
Steve’s playing days ended when in his second year of
University he transferred to Brock University to enroll in the
highly coveted Sport Management program.
For the past 5 seasons Coach Medcalf has been molding
himself into a rounded football mind through attending several
coaching clinics (both offence and defence) and has been the
assistant coach/defensive coordinator for the Lawrence Park
Collegiate senior team during all 5 years.
Coach Medcalf joined the Wildcats organization during 2003
as a QB coach and offensive coordinator of the junior varsity team
and is counting the days until the first practice for the 2004
season. On a personal note, Coach Medcalf was recently married and
is currently a Director of a Sports Marketing Agency which
develops large scale sporting events for clients such as Nike and
Coke.
