Metro Toronto Wildcats are the Number 1 CIS feeder program in
Canada. There are currently 39 Wildcats playing CIS across
Canada.
Have sent 6 players to the NCAA on full scholarships. (Matt
Black, Mark Faria, JMichael Deane, Shane Hall, Ryan Hinds,
Kevin Logan)
Metro Toronto Wildcats Varsity are the only team in the OVFL
without a TAP program, yet have produced more elite athletes
than any other program, with players having at most, 4 years in
our system . Most programs have players for 11 years.
Named Finalist for NFL/CFL Coach of the Year award 2006
Broke seven defensive OVFL records in 2003 season.
Have had 8 OVFL positional MVPs in last 4 years.
Have had 23 OVFL All-Stars in last 5 years.
Have had the number one defense in the OVFL in 2000 and 2003
Have had 22 Special Team Return TDs over the last five years,
by far the most in the OVFL.

Were in Toronto Star top 10 for 8 consecutive years without an
absence, a total of almost 100 consecutive weeks. Finished in
top 5 9 times, including 4 times as #1 in Toronto (90, 92,
94, 95)
Have been Toronto Star #1 team in 11 of 16 years, at some

1998 - Defensive Coordinator

Bundesliga, 1st Division of professional football in GFL (German
Football League)
Record: 10 wins, 2 loses
(including playoffs) 83.3% Winning PCT.
Highlights
Coached under Head Coach Kirk
Heidelberg, who spent 22 years in NCAA, including 8 years as
Head Coach at Arkansas State University.
Defense ranked #1 in 7 of 12 defensive categories, including
most sacks, most interceptions, and most defensive returns for
Touchdowns (5),( league record, still stands today)
Defense had 5 players make 1st Team Bundesliga All-Pro (Tom
Tovo DE, Charles Hython MLB, Richard Yancy CB, Rowell
Blennman FS, Marion Bates SS) All five went on to play NFL
Europe, and two made NFL rosters, Marion Bates (Carolina
Panthers) and Richard Yancy (Chicago Bears)
Only team in all of Europe to beat 5 time raining GFL Champion
in 1998 Hamburg Blue Devils, in front of 23,000 fans at
Volkspark Stadion, Hamburg, Germany, 22-20. Lost to Hamburg in
GFL Semi-Finals at the end of the season.
1998 season was the best season in the history of the Kiel
Baltic Hurricanes.
Coached German National Junior Team in June of 1998, coaching
under Wes Chandler, former NFL All Pro, and Head Coach at the
time of the Berlin Thunder.
Broke GFL record with 4 punt return TDs in a season, by four
different individuals.
Rejected two-year contract renewal to return to Canada.

Highlights
One of the most gratifying
seasons of my coaching career. Inherited Wild Huskie
Team that finished 1-8 the previous season (1 win being
relegation game to stay
Out of 3rd division). Took identical team with only 1 American
player (QB
Vreeland Moseby, from Murray State, holds two NCAA records, all
other teams
Carried 4 Americans, we could only afford one, so we got a great
one).
Had 7 shutouts, including shutting down #1 offense of Dresden
Knights and
holding them to 1 defensive TD in 14-7 win in front of 5500
hostile East Germans
in Semi-Finals.
Had 5 defensive players make 2nd Division All-Star team.
Coached at 8 different clinics to local German kids as part of
contract.
Returned opening kick-off of game for TDs 4 times, (German
record, all
divisions)
8 players from that team went on to play in 1st Division,
including 4 players who
went on to play for GFL perennial Champion and European
powerhouse, Hamburg Blue Devils.
Turned down contract offer to return to the Wild Huskies.
1995 Defensive Coordinator
St. Gallen Raiders, Swiss 1st Division
Record: 9 Wins, 3 Losses
(including playoffs) 75% Winning PCT. Lost in Semi-Finals to
eventual league Champion, Bern Grizzlies
Took Raiders to their first
playoff trip in 4 years.
Led league in lowest points against, yards against, and pass
yards against.
Had three defensive players make Swiss National Team.
First team to shut out defending Champion Geneva Seahawks both
games we played them.
Raiders went on to win the Swiss league for the next three
consecutive years, and became the first Swiss team to win a Euro
Champions game against Vienna Vikings.
First Canadian coach to coach in Switzerland.
Coached at several clinics all over Switzerland to promote
sport and encourage grass roots development.
Only allow 1 year visas for Switzerland, so opportunity to
return not available.
Playing Highlights:
Won 3 City Championships at
Northern Secondary School.
Was 3 time Captain of the Red Knights (2 Senior, 1 Junior)
Northern ranked #1 in Ontario three straight years (85, 86,
87)
Was on top of the Toronto Star Top 10 for three consecutive
years.
Was 3 Time T.S.S.A.A. All-Star, winning all three games.
Defensive MVP 1988.
Started 29 straight games as a Senior Red Knight, at 4
different positions.
Played football for 10 years, from nine years old in
California.
