WAY TO GO ANDREW!
Lomasney kicks U of T to first win since 1995
 Current
MTW VCat and U of T player Andrew Lomasney became a hero and
at the same
time OUA Special Teams Player of the Week for his 32-yard field
goal with 26.2 seconds left in regulation to give the Blues an 18-17
lead over the visiting Waterloo
Warriors. His field goal solidified an opening day victory for Toronto,
the first since 1995, and snapped a 49-game losing streak. At right,
Andreww kicks a 39 yarder against Cumberland in a big VCat win. |
Mizerski's Back!
 Former
MTW record holder, league MVP and Walk of Famer Mike Mizerski
was the key receiver for
Vanier Cup Champs Manitoba Bisons in their 25-12 win over Regina. Mike
led the team with 5 catches for 62 yards in his first game back since
1996 after taking a year off. This guy is a huge MTW supporter even now
and could be spotted and several VCat games this year. Here's Mike at
right on way to record setting TD in 1996.
